- CPR Part 35 governs the use of expert evidence in civil proceedings in England and Wales. A Part 35 compliant expert owes their primary duty to the court, not to the instructing party. Key Ledgers prepares expert reports under CPR Part 35 for civil proceedings, with joint statements and court attendance where instructed.
- Timelines depend on the complexity of the matter and the volume of documents to be reviewed. We always work to agreed court timetables and will discuss realistic timescales at the outset of an instruction. Urgent instructions can be accommodated where capacity allows.
- Yes. As an independent expert, we accept instructions from solicitors acting for claimants, defendants and single joint expert appointments. Our duty is to the court, and our reports reflect an objective, evidence-based analysis regardless of which party instructs us.
- Our services include forensic accounting, business valuation, transaction advisory, expert witness services, commercial litigation, shareholder disputes, SPA reviews and financial investigations. We also undertake specialist work including business interruption and asset tracing.
- Yes. Key Ledgers is listed on the UK Register of Expert Witnesses, which provides solicitors with a vetted directory of experts across all disciplines.
